Business description

Anne of Cleves House is a charming 16th Century Wealden Hall House situated in the Southover area of the historic town of Lewes.

The East Room with its oak beams, leaded light windows and huge Elizabethan fireplace offers the perfect romantic setting for your civil ceremony. Candles and flowers add to the atmosphere in summer and in winter a log fire burns to gives a warm glow to the room. The lovely garden provides a wonderful backdrop for your photographs and provides the ideal location in which to celebrate your wedding.

Anne of Cleves house can accommodate up to 50 guests for the ceremony and 70 in the garden if you wish to stay for a drinks reception after. As we do not have any catering facilities couples may choose to arrange their own food and drink which can be served by our in house staff

For 2008 our prices are £587 for the ceremony and £58.75 per
hour thereafter. Both prices include VAT. This excludes registrar’s fees.
